چکیده

Let A and G be finite groups of relatively prime orders and assume that A acts on G via automorphisms. We study how certain conditions on G imply its solvability when we assume the existence of a unique A-invariant Sylow p-subgroup for p equal to 2 or 3. Mathematics Subject Classification (2010). On rational groups with Sylow 2-subgroups of nilpotency class at most 2

A finite group $G$ is called rational if all its irreducible complex characters are rational valued. In this paper we discuss about rational groups with Sylow 2-subgroups of nilpotency class at most 2 by imposing the solvability and nonsolvability assumption on $G$ and also via nilpotency and nonnilpotency assumption of $G$.

Classification of finite simple groups whose Sylow 3-subgroups are of order 9

In this paper, without using the classification of finite simple groups, we determine the structure of  finite simple groups whose Sylow 3-subgroups are of the order 9. More precisely, we classify finite simple groups whose Sylow 3-subgroups are elementary abelian of order 9.

A Simple Classification of Finite Groups of Order p2q2

Prosolvability Criteria and Properties of the Prosolvable Radical via Sylow Sequences

We extend a finite group solvability criterion of J.G. Thompson, based on his classification of finite minimal simple groups, to a prosolvability criterion. Moreover, we generalize to the profinite setting subsequent developments of Thompson’s criterion by G. Kaplan and the second author, which recast it in terms of properties of sequences of Sylow subgroups and their products. This generalizat...
